The Challenge
ADAY needed to migrate their ecommerce platform from Spree to Shopify Plus to streamline operations, enhance their online store’s performance, and offer a seamless shopping experience. The challenges included migrating extensive content, including product listings, customer data, and historical orders, while ensuring minimal disruption to their business operations.
The brand also wanted to ensure that the new Shopify store mirrored their current design aesthetics while improving functionality, including integrations with logistics and fulfillment systems.

What We Did
Our scope of work for ADAY included the following key services:

Website Migration
We managed the migration of all content from ADAY’s existing Spree platform to Shopify Plus, which included product data, customer accounts, historical orders, and promotional information like active promo codes and gift cards. The migration process ensured the integrity of data and minimized any potential disruptions to the brand’s SEO rankings through careful handling of URL redirects and site mapping.

Custom Theme Development
The new Shopify Plus store was built using a custom theme designed to replicate the look and feel of ADAY’s original website while enhancing usability. This involved creating page templates for frequently recurring pages, such as collections and product display pages, and incorporating the brand’s design modifications to improve product presentation, customer navigation, and overall user experience.

Mobile Responsiveness and Performance Optimization
We optimized ADAY’s site for mobile devices, ensuring consistent performance and functionality across different screen sizes. A key focus was on improving the load speed of the site and optimizing the mobile browsing experience to cater to a growing number of mobile-first users. Quality assurance testing was conducted to ensure cross-browser compatibility and a seamless user experience.
Logistics and Fulfillment Integrations
ADAY relied on third-party logistics providers for fulfillment, and we integrated their Shopify Plus store with Quiet Logistics for automated order splitting and shipment management. By introducing middleware to automate the splitting and management of inventory and orders, we eliminated manual processes and ensured a more streamlined fulfillment operation.
Store Setup and Marketing Integrations
We set up the new Shopify store, including configuring payment gateways such as Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, and PayPal, as well as implementing automated tax calculation and real-time shipping estimates. We integrated marketing tools like Klaviyo for email automation, setting up key transactional and promotional emails to align with ADAY’s branding guidelines.
