Content & Data Migration

We handled the complete migration of content, including product listings, customer accounts, and historical blog content from their custom platform to Shopify Plus. This involved creating a migration plan that mapped out data formatting and ensured accuracy, particularly for non-product pages like advice articles and auxiliary content.

Custom Theme Design & Development

We collaborated with the Riverbend Home team to redesign the entire site, providing a more intuitive and visually appealing user experience. The custom theme we created included mockups for desktop and mobile views of key pages, such as the homepage, product detail pages, product listing pages, blog pages, and cart. Special attention was given to making the site responsive across all devices, ensuring a seamless experience for users browsing on mobile.

Pre-Design Analysis & Competitive Benchmarking

We conducted a thorough pre-design analysis of the current site, using tools like heat mapping, scroll depth analysis, and screen recordings to understand user behavior. We also benchmarked Riverbend Home’s site against competitors in the home goods market, identifying areas where user journeys could be optimized to boost conversions and improve customer satisfaction.

SEO & 301 Redirect Implementation

Maintaining SEO performance during the migration was a critical objective. We conducted an initial SEO audit and implemented a comprehensive 301 redirect strategy to ensure that all important URLs were properly redirected, mitigating the risk of losing organic traffic. We used tools like Google Webmaster Tools and SEO Powersuite to support this process.

Advanced Checkout & Loyalty Program Features

The checkout process was customized to include multiple payment options and reduce friction, especially on mobile devices. We also implemented initial features for a loyalty program to encourage repeat purchases, including the setup of member tiers and points systems for discounts, as per Riverbend Home’s business goals.

Data-Driven Design & User Experience Improvements

Our design process focused on providing a frictionless shopping experience, including enhanced search and filtering functionalities. We implemented faceted navigation, a powerful search engine with auto suggest capabilities, and robust filtering options across product listing pages. The site was also designed to highlight micro-conversions, such as email captures and wishlist additions, to increase customer engagement and retention.
