The Challenge
Ejis was in need of a comprehensive digital upgrade to support their growing customer base and enhance the overall user experience of their online store. This involved migrating to the Shopify Plus platform and integrating tools to provide a seamless shopping and subscription experience.
Ejis required the development of a custom Shopify theme, the implementation of Recharge for recurring billing, and the integration of the Loyalty Lion loyalty program. Additionally, ensuring mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility was critical to meet the expectations of a diverse customer base.

What We Did
Our scope of work for Ejis included the following key services:

Custom Theme Development & Design Integration
We utilized the design source files provided by Ejis to develop a custom theme on Shopify Plus. Our team coded the HTML and CSS for the page designs and implemented them using Shopify’s Liquid templating engine. Pages developed included the homepage, collections pages, product detail pages (PDPs), 'Our Story' page, Technology page, FAQ, standalone cart page, AJAX (pop-out) cart, and a custom blog template to match the designs of the other pages. This ensured consistency across the site and a cohesive brand experience.

Recharge Integration for Subscription Billing
We helped set up the Recharge app on Shopify Plus to facilitate recurring billing for Ejis. This integration enabled customers to subscribe to their favorite products, manage their subscription preferences, and receive items at regular intervals, ensuring convenience for both new and returning customers.

Loyalty Program Integration with Loyalty Lion
We implemented the Loyalty Lion app to create a loyalty and referral program for Ejis. This integration helped increase customer retention and engagement by rewarding repeat purchases and encouraging customers to refer friends. The loyalty program was seamlessly integrated into the Shopify theme, ensuring users could easily access and understand their rewards.
Mobile Responsiveness & Quality Assurance
We ensured that all pages were mobile-responsive and conducted extensive testing across popular browsers and screen sizes. Our quality assurance process included developer testing, a dedicated QA team review, and a preview for the Ejis team to gather feedback before the final launch. This comprehensive approach helped ensure a consistent and high-quality user experience, regardless of device or browser.
Soft Launch & Post-Launch Support
We conducted a strategically scheduled soft launch to minimize potential disruptions. After launch, Ejis was provided with a 60-day complimentary bug-fixing window, allowing us to address any issues arising from our work promptly. This phase ensured a smooth transition and provided confidence in the new platform’s reliability.
