The Challenge

Gathre needed to enhance the performance and usability of their ecommerce platform to support their growing customer base and ensure a smooth shopping experience. The primary challenge involved analyzing the user experience of their existing website to identify opportunities for conversion rate optimization (CRO).

What We Did

Our scope of work for Gathre included the following key services:

Advanced Design Analysis

We performed an in-depth analysis of the user interface and overall site usability by installing and utilizing heat mapping software. This allowed us to better understand how users interacted with the website and identify potential obstacles to conversions. We monitored traffic across key pages, including the homepage, navigation, product detail pages (PDPs), collections, and checkout process, to gather data on user behavior and identify specific areas where improvements could be made.

Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)

Based on the data collected from heat mapping and website analytics, we conducted a detailed analysis to identify opportunities for CRO. This included analyzing user flows, bounce rates, and engagement metrics for high-traffic pages. We also evaluated the effectiveness of the main navigation, looking for pages that received low interaction despite occupying important site real estate. Our analysis provided actionable insights to refine the site navigation and make key elements, like product categories, more accessible to users.

Custom Reporting and Implementation Planning

After gathering data and identifying areas for improvement, we compiled a comprehensive report outlining our findings. The report included recommendations for redesigning certain elements, adjusting the layout of key pages, and adding features aimed at improving usability. We worked closely with Gathre’s team to prioritize the recommended changes based on their potential impact on user experience and conversion rates.

Ongoing Support for Future Enhancements

In addition to the initial analysis and recommendations, we established a framework for ongoing support.
