What We Did

Data and Content Migration
We managed the migration of all existing website content, including product listings, customer accounts, and historical back-end data from the legacy platform to Shopify Plus. This migration included the transfer of approximately 40 product categories and subcategories, as well as blogs and other content that supported customer engagement.
SEO Maintenance and 301 Redirects
To ensure Moonglow’s SEO performance was preserved during the migration, we implemented a 301 redirect strategy. This included analyzing the existing URL structure, mapping redirects, and ensuring that all existing links pointed to their corresponding pages on the new Shopify site to avoid any loss in SEO ranking.
Theme Customization and Development
We customized a Shopify theme to reflect Moonglow’s brand identity, incorporating a sleek, user-friendly interface. We also handled theme setup based on Moonglow’s existing sitemap, ensuring all branding assets and guidelines were incorporated seamlessly. Customization hours included refining navigation, product pages, and ensuring a smooth, cohesive customer journey from browsing to checkout.
Moon Phase Calculator Recreation
One of the most unique elements of Moonglow’s site is the moon phase calculator, which allows customers to select a specific date and see the moon phase on that day. We recreated this functionality by developing a custom feature that integrated with an external database to pull accurate moon phase imagery. This feature was implemented on both the product and homepage, allowing customers to personalize their jewelry with ease.
Advanced Functionality Integration
To streamline Moonglow’s operations and improve the customer experience, we integrated advanced functionalities, such as automated tax calculation using Avalara, Shopify Site Search, and Shopify Reviews. We also built an EDI integration with Moonglow’s fulfillment partner to facilitate seamless order processing.
Mobile Responsiveness and Quality Assurance
We ensured the website was fully mobile responsive, providing an optimal browsing experience across all devices. Our quality assurance process included extensive cross-browser compatibility testing and a soft launch to identify and fix any issues before the full public launch. We also provided a 60-day complimentary bug-fixing window to address any issues arising after launch.
