The Challenge
Eve Pearl needed to migrate their existing website from a custom solution to Shopify Plus, while simultaneously redesigning the website to improve usability and customer engagement. The main challenges included ensuring a smooth data migration, maintaining SEO rankings, and creating a visually appealing yet highly functional user interface that provided an elevated shopping experience.

What We Did
Our scope of work for Eve Pearl included the following key services:
Website Migration and SEO Preservation
We managed the migration of all content from the custom platform to Shopify Plus, including product listings, customer data, historical orders, and product reviews. To preserve SEO rankings, we performed an extensive analysis of the existing URL structure and implemented 301 redirects, ensuring minimal impact on search engine visibility during the migration.
Custom Theme Development and Redesign
We redesigned Eve Pearl’s website using a hybrid custom theme approach that focused on maintaining brand aesthetics while improving functionality. The redesign included creating page templates for frequently used pages, such as the Home Page, Product Listing Page, Product Detail Page, Blog Template, and more. The new design was crafted to highlight the brand’s core offerings with a clean, elegant layout that provided a superior user experience.
User Interface Enhancements
We worked closely with the Eve Pearl team to create design mock-ups for review, followed by two rounds of revisions to finalize the website layout. We integrated features like an advanced filtering system for easier product discovery, a wishlist feature for future purchases, and a shade finder to assist customers in choosing the best product match for their skin tone.
Backend Integrations and Advanced Functionalities
The new Shopify store was integrated with various backend systems to streamline order processing and inventory management. We incorporated QuickBooks Desktop integration for accounting purposes, enabling seamless post-checkout data transfer. Additionally, the store was integrated with FedEx, USPS, and UPS APIs for real-time shipping rates, and ClearSpider for fulfillment, ensuring efficient operations.
Wholesale Store Development
We created mirrored wholesale stores to cater to specific customer groups, such as resellers and social media influencers. Each wholesale store featured customer-specific pricing through Shopify scripts, providing a personalized shopping experience for these distinct groups.
Performance Optimization and Quality Assurance
To ensure an optimal user experience, we conducted extensive performance optimization, including improving site load speed and ensuring mobile responsiveness across devices. Our quality assurance testing covered cross-browser compatibility and functionality checks, ensuring a robust and error-free shopping experience.
